The officially published version is always authoritative. patentino is not an official service of the courts and offices named here.

Scope: Decisions and orders of the UPC (local, regional, central divisions, Court of Appeal). About 2,100 searchable documents (as of 6 October 2026). Numbers by year and division
Origin: Publicly available decisions and orders of the court, which we collect or upload as documents and prepare for search (text, paragraph numbers, metadata such as division, date and case number).
Terms of use: Court decisions in the court’s own wording. The version published by the court is always authoritative; the app links to it where a reference is known. patentino is not an official service of the Unified Patent Court.
Updates: Added continuously, not on the day of publication. Coverage is not claimed to be complete.

Searchable

Scope: Patent cases of the Xth Civil Senate, patent and FRAND cases of the Antitrust Senate (from 2010). About 550 searchable documents.
Origin: The “Rechtsinformationen des Bundes” interface of the German Federal Ministry of Justice (currently in its test phase). Links lead to the decision on rechtsprechung-im-internet.de.
Terms of use: Court decisions and official headnotes are official works not protected by copyright (section 5(1) German Copyright Act).
Updates: Synchronised with the interface daily.

Origin: Official data set “Decisions of the EPO boards of appeal” of the European Patent Office (XML), obtained under licence.

Planned scope: Patent senates: nullity, appeal and utility model cases (from 2010).
Origin: The “Rechtsinformationen des Bundes” interface of the German Federal Ministry of Justice (currently in its test phase). Links lead to the decision on rechtsprechung-im-internet.de.

Planned scope: Judgments, orders and AG opinions on patents, SPCs, the Enforcement Directive, jurisdiction in IP matters, FRAND/SEPs and exhaustion – plus every CJEU judgment cited by the UPC; updated daily.
Origin: Open data services of the Publications Office of the European Union (texts in German and English where available). Links lead to the document on EUR-Lex.
